New Year, New Style Giveaway 5!!

A new giveaway!!! We're almost there now!! I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be posting about on the blog when these are over…

This time you can win three paperbacks of my lesbian romance novels! They're by far not as angsty as my gay romance or my straight romance, they're rather on the sweet side of things, but I adore them! I don't have a picture of all three paperbacks together yet, as the last one has only been out a week now (see previous blog post) and I've not received a paperback copy yet (Amazon's ‘author copies' option is soooo slow!). I will have the copy by the time the giveaway ends, I can promise you that!

Of all my pen names, this is my newest one, it's ‘related' to the Emmy Engberts pen name in that they're stories about queer women, but unlike the Emmy books, these are adult romances (though fairly light on the sex). They're not high angst, but very character driven. And they take place on one of the Dutch mudflat islands, Schiermonnikoog. They're all in English, apart from a couple of street names and the name of the island, it's totally in English. You do get to know a lot about the island as each story shows a different side to it. Also, every story has at least one character with a really cute dog who are all Dutch breeds. Dogs are adorable and silly!

The three books in this giveaway are:

Second Chance at Christmas, a Christmas romance, more in that it takes place over Christmas than anything else, and this story features one of the women dealing with snow in boots that aren't meant to deal with snow.

A Card for Valentine's, a Valentine's romance, lots of crafts going on and they're going ice skating without skates because it hadn't exactly been planned…

A Blooming Spring Love, a Spring romance, loads about flowers (especially hyacinths) and a very emotional scene in a classroom.

Just two out of three, since the third one's paperback copy hasn't arrived yet…

The first flowers each spring bring big changes along with them.
Two women, thinking that they are too different, find that those differences don’t have to be bad…

Dani lost all her dreams in the divorce three years ago, but she’s finally saved up enough to live her own dream this time. So, she moves to the island with her young daughter, Rose, to open a flower shop, ready for a new start in her life.
Her heart is still tender, but when she catches a glimpse of her daughter’s teacher, things start to change.

Kim is the only one of her siblings who still lives on the island. She loves her job as a primary school teacher but with siblings with big careers, she feels like she’s always behind them, never the same. She teaches, takes care of her parents and still feels like she’s not doing enough, like she’s supposed to do more.
That is, until she gets a new pupil in her class whose mother makes her rethink everything she ever presumed about her life, who makes her rethink everything she believed in.

Spring is coming and that means teaching about plants and colours and how things grow. A tour around the town with Kim’s class, trying to spot spring flowers and a couple of little lambs, brings the women closer together. But it’s not until an intimate moment at a dinner party that things start to get intense.
This year, will there be more than just flowers blooming on the island?

New Year, New Style Giveaway 4!!

These books were the ones that let me go full-time as an author! Four books in the fourth giveaway!

The Mated to the Alpha serial not only started my career, but was at the start of a much bigger genre move in gay romance, the start of mpreg (male pregnancy) going almost mainstream. It's hard now to imagine that before 2015, mpreg was not a thing in gay romance, when just in the top 50 today there are more of them than I can count on a single hand. The Mated to the Alpha serial (starting with Omega's Fate) was right at the start of it all, and it was amazing to watch unfold.

The other three books are The Baby Pact Trilogy, which were quite another type of amazing experience as they've been among my best ranking books at release ever. I could never have done it without our amazing fans! So many memories!

If you're not so sure if you're into or up to paranormal mpreg books, you can read the first part of the Mated to the Alpha serial for free: Omega's Fate

New Year, New Style Giveaway 3!!

And we're on our third giveaway now!! Things are moving fast!

This is the halfway point (give or take) of the giveaways, we've got three more to go after this, so still loads of stuff to win!

This time you can win print copies of Shattered and Unraveled. Two highly emotional romance novels.

Shattered tells the story of Lizzy and Hunter who both have to fight their own demons but may find that the other can help ease the struggle they have to face.

Unraveled tells the story of Lizzy's twin sister, Lola, when the guy who left her broken in a hospital room years ago, Blaze, suddenly appears at an art showing and then also works on the same art project she's part of…

Two books that took me to some dark places, probably the most emotional books I've written yet (and if you know what the boys in the Omegaverse Mates World series have gone through, that says a lot…).

Colour Her (Flowers and Keyboards 3) – Emmy Engberts

YES! It's here! Today is the launch of the newest book in the Flowers and Keyboards series!

You can enjoy two chapters per week of this story, on Wednesdays and on Saturdays!

The story will be available on Tapas and Wattpad, AND, this is a new experiment, I've also put the book up on pre-order on Kobo, iBooks, Barnes & Noble and Google Play! The tentative release date for publication is June 7th. I say tentative since it's pretty far off and I know that things can get a little wacky sometimes.

There are always a couple of changes between the online serial edition and the published version (99% of that is simple quality increase…), but I know that some people really like to make sure that they can pre-order the book as soon as possible. It's not on pre-order on Amazon because Amazon takes away our pre-order privileges for a year if we have to change the date after we've set up the pre-order. Amazon will probably be added closer to the actual release date, but I'm not sure of that yet.

Also, don't forget that the giveaway is still running, and the first two books of the Flowers and Keyboards series is in the giveaway!! Check it out here: New Year, New Style Giveaway 1!

But, enough rambling from me, I'd like to introduce you to two lovely ladies, Mya (yes, Elliot's best friend) and Amber.

The Rainbow Collection, an LGBTQ+ pride flag themed makeup line, brings two unlikely girls together.

Amber runs a semi-popular makeup channel. It combines the two things she loves best, makeup and sharing her passion. While talking face-to-face with people scares her, talking to a camera is much easier, it feels safer.

That distance between herself and the people who watch her videos has always been right for her, until she meets a girl who makes her rethink that position.

Mya is a girl of many interests, from gaming to anime and manga to makeup and clothes, she loves it all. What she likes even more is to surround herself with people who enjoy similar things.

She’s good at talking to people, she loves it even. That’s why she’s training to become a primary school teacher, but there’s one problem, she hasn’t been able to pass her maths exam yet and if she fails it one more time she’ll have to drop out.

The two very different girls share one passion, makeup, and Mya has been a fan of Amber’s channel for years, a big fan. What starts as an unexpected chat in a store, followed by an anonymous gift from Mya, turns much more complicated when Amber might be the only one able to help Mya pass her maths exam.

Amber has no idea Mya sent her the makeup, and Mya doesn’t know how to tell Amber without ruining everything, breaking the fragile trust between them…

WIP and Updates: New Year, New Style!

New Year, New Style, New Website!!

Yep, this thing is finally up and running!

I've been using the word ‘finally' a lot lately. I've finally published my new lesbian romance (A Card for Valentine's), even though I'd planned to publish it about two weeks ago. I've finally finished this website, even though I've been thinking about it and low-key planning it since last October or November (around the same time as I quit my Patreon).

The last couple of months have largely existed of high-pressure writing and editing (and publishing books in a variety of genres) and trying to take down-time to keep my mental health up (something that I'm not always that good at), and during all that, I knew that I needed to do this. Last year, I tried to do something similar to this on a Patreon, create a ‘hub' for all my publishing adventures, but that never clicked as well for me as just having a website with a blog, at least I know how to run and manage this. Though, some pages here are still a little rough, don't look too closely yet, I'll polish the edges in the coming months, having this ‘hub' in place and in working condition was the most important thing.

I do have a really cool announcement though, keep reading to find out more!
